About Ashelynn Manor
Master builder John Lorino built this 6,200 square foot home in 1975 for his wife Edith. Kevin and Tessie Ashe purchased the property at the beginning of 2004 with the idea of it becoming one of Houston’s premier event facilities.
Upon entering the Manor, you step onto a magnificent marble floor. To your left is a study with original décor from Mr. Lorino’s love for horses. To your right is a gorgeous dining room with a lovely glassed display of the china place settings. Past the foyer to your left is the grand Honeymoon suite, decorated with oversized antique furniture. Attached to the Honeymoon suite is the Master bath. Upon entering your eyes quickly round the corner to view the sunken jacuzzi tub surrounded by columns, marble, and a chandelier.
Past the Honeymoon suite is the grand circular staircase. To the right of the staircase is the great room. With a 30-foot tall cathedral ceiling, 18-foot tall windows, and antiqued block wood paneling, this room is great for any occasion. Beside the great room is a bar area which leads into the morning room. The morning room also has a lovely display of the china, with windows looking out at the gazebo. Upstairs are the 2 other guest bedrooms. The Veranda Room is very shabby chic, and opening the door takes you out upon the veranda with a beautiful view of the estate. Through a Hollywood style bathroom, you are led to the Lorino Room. Looking out the Lorino room window, you see the quaint rose garden below. Also in the Main House are a full kitchen, and a laundry room.
The Manor sits on 25 stunning acres, with 2 parking areas for your guests. There is a Cottage alongside the Manor, which houses 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchenette, a living room, and a breakfast nook.
Adjacent to the Manor is the Carriage House, which boasts 5,000 square feet of party space with stained wood walls, several chandeliers and wall sconces to light up the space according to the event. Within the Carriage House are men and women’s restrooms, a kitchen area for staff, and other storage space.
There are two gazebos on our property as well. The first gazebo is a 16-foot gazebo close to the Main House; this is where many of our wedding ceremonies occur. Near the Carriage House is a smaller 10-foot gazebo and sitting area, perfect for pictures.
In order to view our facility, we recommend that you schedule an appointment. One of our friendly and knowledgable staff members will be happy to visit with you.
